SUMMARY:Common Ground
DESCRIPTION:Directed by Josh & Rebecca Tickell\n\n\n\nUnited States\n\n\n\n
COMMON GROUND is the highly anticipated sequel to the juggernaut success do
cumentary\, Kiss the Ground\, which touched over 1 billion people globally.
\n\n\n\nBy fusing journalistic exposé with deeply personal stories from th
ose in the front lines of the sustainable food movement\, COMMON GROUND unv
eils a dark web of money\, power\, and politics behind our broken food syst
em.\n\n\n\nThe film reveals how racist practices forged our current farm sy
stem in which farmers of all colors are literally dying to feed us. The fil
m profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white\, black\, and indigeno
us farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agricultu
re that could balance the climate and save our health — before it’s too
  late.\n\n\n\nFollowed by a panel discussion.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpening Film:
Just Beneath the Surface\n\n\n\nDirected by Jimmy John Thaiday\n\n\n\nAustr
 alia\n\n\n\nOn a fishing trip\, a man struggles with a strange and menacing
ocean. Will he fight against nature's forces\, or submit to its power?
